The talk will provide some basic information about opera including terms, history, etc. Since opera is all about the voice, different voice types are illustrated through video clips. Also includes a brief exploration of opera versus musical theater, modern opera and the ultimate operatic heavyweight, Wagner's Ring Cycle. And there won't be a fat lady, so you'll never know when it's over.
